Google rolls out a new and updated look for Paid and organic SERPs on desktop, making the label “Ad” more prominent for paid results, as well as showing favicons next to the link for organic results.

In the new layout, Google has styled the “Ad” label in black and moved the URL above the headline.
What does this mean?
Both paid and organic results now look virtually identical as the “Ad” label could mistakenly be identified as a favicon.
The new design looks similar to mobile search and adds one factor to optimize when it comes to desktop search.
